There are directors I enjoy, and directors I don’t enjoy, but even among directors I don’t enjoy they usually have at least one movie I like, and I can understand why people would like them even if they’re not for me.
The exception is Rian Johnson. I don’t like a single movie he has made, and I cannot understand why anyone else would. What is his appeal?

I liked the first Knives Out, but I can understand that it's not going to be popular here since he basically put a 4chan incel joke character in that movie. The other 2 are basically the modern equivalent of direct-to-video garbage though.
