Isn’t it kinda weird that in the universe of the Scream movies, there are in-universe movies based off the events?

Isn’t that like making a franchise based off Jeffrey Dahmer?

It's one of the most creative things done in the horror genre. However Scream 3, 4, and 5 beat you over the head with it to the point where they realized they need to move on from Stab movies being so central to the plot.

It's just for metahumor, in real life yeah they would've waited a bit longer before making a movie series out of it

The events were turned into a book called The Woodsboro Murders, then the book was picked up by a b-grade Hollywood studio that cranked out a cheesy horror movie, and then decided to make more sequels.

are scream 1 to 3 the only ones worth watching?

4 has aged well. The rest are whatever and it sounds like 7 is slightly better than 5 & 6 but not by much.

The first one is the only good one
>b-but 2!
Has a really dumb twist and is generally dull and uninteresting until the final third. Also bald Jada is gross

Sounds like something Netflix would do

Americans (especially the female ones) love worshipping killers so it is considered normal.

Depends what you like it for.
5 has good meta commentary.
4 was entertaining, more than 2 & 3.
1 is the only genuinely good one tho

I like 3, it's underrated
