Finally watching this, pretty good so far maybe the ml is a bit cheesy but its not too bad, it feels a bit like Our Unwritten Soul to me without the workplace harassment plot, also no villain or a random murder mystery just character drama. No love triangle for those wondering.

Watched the first ep of Siren's Kiss. Decent enough start, though I'm already missing the original's BGM. They changed a lot about the characters/setting but the core mystery points were pretty closely followed. Curious to see how/if they deviate.

There's probably other reasons too but regardless, most of them are to the benefit of the production, not the audience.Higher effort productions, dramas set in modern times, dramas with prestigious casts, etc all have a pretty good chance at not being dubbed these days. Costume/historical dramas are a coin flip. Really no escaping random ADR lines though, the censors can be picky.

Just finished Spring Fever.The best drama I've seen this year (so far). It was actually funny, which is rare for Kdramas. Other than that, it was quite the usual story, very comfy.8/10.What should I watch next?

A curious change in Siren's Kiss compared to the original is that they seem to have massively neutered the detective's personality (and his whole role really, might've even taken his wife away) and made everyone else more openly hostile and aggressive to compensate. The ML in particular was a lot more restrained in the jdramaAnyway if you haven't seen the OG, the first 2 eps were alright. Idk why we needed a goofy comedic insurance fraud bust though, very out of place
