I kinda licked this for what it is. Plot wise its fucking retarded half the time but the Jackal himself was a lot of fun to watch. Redmayne seemed like odd casting at the start but he does really well. I like how they make him just an irredeemable piece of shit. There's no real attempt to justify any of his actions or to insert extenuating circumstances there for the viewer to latch onto. He's just a amoral murderer with 0 conscious. Black chick wasn't even that bad of a girlboss. I wish they'd cast someone more attractive than a frumpy middle aged woman but her performance is fine and she fucks up and is told off for it multiple times including the final fuckup where she's dies because she's just a complete retard. The token home-life scenes with her husband and daughter were obviously meant to lay the groundwork for you to care when she bites it but I was rooting for the murdering sociopath to get away with it the entire time so I was happy when he popped her dumb ass.
