ITT: Adaptations that improved the source material
>>218422996This movie is amazing.
I love this shitty movie. Actually, I like most movies with this aesthetic from the late 80s into the 90s
>>218422996Whenever I saw this poster, I always think their boots are screwed into the M.
>>218422996Based. I completely agree with you. I love Bob Hoskins's rugged but ultimately good-hearted version of Mario. I also love how Mario says something like "I'm gonna break every bone in his body and then I'm gonna kill him!" in the 1993 Mario film. Mario from the 1993 film is based and kino, whereas the Mario from the games and the 2023 film is just a "BING BING, WAHOO!" cringe machine. Another thing I genuinely love about the 1993 film is that Luigi isn't Mario's biological brother, Luigi is basically an orphan that Mario adopted and raised. Mario dedicated his time, his money and his effort into taking care of Luigi and being like an older brother/father figure to him even though he didn't have to. That shows what a good heart Mario has in the 1993 film. Mario and Luigi in the 1993 film are a found family. Fuck so-called 'faithfulness to the source material', the 1993 film is BETTER than the shitty source material (which was sparse to begin with as far as its storyline is concerned) in my honest opinion. Sonic is my favourite franchise always and forevermore, but Mario is still up there for me and the 1993 version of Mario is my favourite version of Mario always and forevermore. I unironically love the 1993 Mario film because it genuinely delights my autism in a way no other film can.>>218423107It's not even a shitty film you faggot, it's a pleb filter and a kino mix of Mario and Blade Runner. And I'm not even being a contrarian, I genuinely love the 1993 Mario film.>>218423037Agreed.>I got a feelin' we're not in Brooklyn no more.
