>Oh no! I have a job, a safe neighbourhood (before zombies), can afford a house and I have a hot girlfriend that loves me OH I'M SO MISERABLE As a zoomer why was previous generation crying over easier times and conditions? Same shit with Fight Club
>>218425102just an under achiever peed off in wasting his potentialyou dont have any potential so its foreign to you
>>218425102He was just renting a room. That said the gf was wildly out of his league.
>>218425102He wasn't unhappy. He was settled but everyone around him was doing things or wanted to do things and he didn't understand why.>We went to Greece didn't we?>We MET in Greece>At a rave
>>218425102Gen Xers whole identity is apathy. Their indifference led to this world e have now.
>>218425102I miss being in college and living in a rented house with my bros. Being married and owning your own house is nice but it just doesn't compare.
>>218425209I think gen x and boomers had it so much easier they had to make up problems because they were more bored, so millennials and zoomers obviously appreciate life moreReminds me of that episode where Homer says Marge ruined his life but plenty of men under 40 would fucking kill for a Marge and have homers life kek
I know OP is trolling but the movie literally ends with Shaun (who was already content with his life) living a comfortable life with his girlfriend who now just wants the same thing.
>>218425102>a shitty retail assistant job while living in a LondonHe was a fucking loser. The zombie apocalypse improved his lot immeasurably.
Shaun was happy though. It's his girlfriend who was being a bitch about it.
>>218425230Hmm, yes, kek.
>>218425102This movie is a queer allegoryIt's all about Sean's (Simon Pegg's) journey of self-discovery as realizes he's madly in love with Ed (Nick Frost) and that to live as his authentic self he must break off his doomed marriage to that walled whore and fuck unwashed man ass instead
>>218425252Yeah, killing your own mother and flatmate are a better lot.
>Boomers have face to face conflicts about which hippie they should fuck>Gen X stories have face to face romance conflicts about their lives which should be better>Millenials only experience face to face conflicts if it's a poor or a migrant>Zoomers and Gen Alpha will never know what romance was like without smart phones.
nah i think gen x was the first to come to terms with how unfulfilling living a nihilistic life can be.gen z feels the same but also can't afford basics like housing so by comparison gen x had nothing to complain about, but the core issue was never how much material wealth you had access to (though it would take some of the sting out)

>>218425102It was nice how he kept his friend's rotting corpse in the garden shed so he could go sit with it and pretend to play Nintendo with it. Real Jeffrey Dahmer shit.
That wasn't the message you dumbfuck.Shaun was content with what he had, but was just a thoroughly mediocre person uninterested in bettering himself or aspiring to anything more. Then the zombies happened, and he just bumbles around trying to make the best of his new circumstance. The crisis ends not because "evil is vanquished" but because everybody found a way to get along with the new zombie reality, including Shaun. It's scathing commentary on British complacency and lack of ambition.
>>218425252How? He just went back to his old life, basically, except now he had zombies to deal with, in a mundane, unexciting way.
>>218425476god forbid anyone take the piss on your rotting soap opera
Childhood is idolizing ShaunAdulthood is realizing Gary King makes more sense
>>218425554idolizing Shaun? who the fuck ever did that
>>218425342White Millennials grew up seeing a world that worked that their own parents took away from them. No other generation in the history of the world has been so betrayed.
>>218425654Pretty much this. The only advantage zoomers have is that they saw the game rigged at an early age but most of us millennials trusted our boomers and teachers and we didn't realize the real shit till our late 20s or early 30s. I have seen a lot of millennials finally being parents regretting not having them sooner, we lived that era where we were being told being pregnant young was HELL so sadly plenty for it only to find out kids give meaning to your life and they are actually easier to deal than old people
>>218425540 >Walk Hard With A Vengeance
How old were you when you realised Pete was 100% in the right?
>>218425989I guess I was 1 because that’s how old i was when this boomer flick came out but even on first watch I knew Shaun was a loser
