So, I know this isn't the point of the narrative, but Noriko said her dad would come to visit her once a year on her birthday. fucking how? There are 5 time dilation events in the show. The first one is explicitly like 10 mins and 12 seconds or 13 mins and 12 seconds and only goes near Neptune and costs them 6 months. There's another one that's pretty sure that takes 6 months and Noriko does 2 tours which take 11 years and 15 years. how the fuck was her dad back once a year? Was he only going out for like 20 mins and then coming back?the pacing is kind of weird too. it feels like they could have used more than 6 episodes

Ultimately, it's not important to the plot other than to say she loves her father, but there are ways to explaining it.Also, it's 6 episodes by fairly inexperienced writers/directors. They had only really made a few shorts and a single movie which was a production cluster through a lot of it. Stack on the story itself having time dilation and it's kind of to be expected that the pacing is a little strange, especially in the later episodes.
