Watched This Is Not A Test. It was predictably not very good. The characters are dumb and melodramatic, and on the one hand you can say "well that's logical, they're teens", but on the other hand they decided to deliberately make a movie about melodramatic, dumb characters. The two girls are hot as fuck though, one has a tight firm compact white girl ass, the other hs a kind of bigger wide-hipped slavic peasant ass, both very good asses well presented in tight jeans.
So it turns out she's not Slavic, she's Armenian, I don't really know what that is.

Just finished. I honestly didn't get it. Like I'm not sure what happened at the end. It's pretty much a one-hander, the lead is in a house with her basically catatonic mom and just talks to other characters on the phone. The podcast element is less a part of the premise than you'd expect, it's just as much about motherhood and the audio stuff is just how they explore that concept. It's honestly boring, it has its own style of jumpscare that's so subdued and infrequent that normie horror fans (ie teenagers) are going to be disappointed. It's a SLOW burn, then ends abruptly. My kinoplex just did a triple screening of Friday 6, Elm Street 3 and Bride of Chucky. I gotta say, watching Friday 6 on the big screen has cemented my opinion more than ever that Friday 6 is fucking dog shit. Megan's friend group (the counsellors) have little to no screentime, they're barely developed so there's no weight to their deaths. The Jarvis scuffle with the sheriff is fine, but it's maybe 20 minutes worth of the movie, the rest of the movie feels so disjointed with random cutaways to random people getting killed by Jason in the woods. The entire movie feels like a collection of Family Guy cutaway gags. "But that's all we want? We just want Jason offing people non-stop, that's the fun of Friday the 13th!" You say that and it sounds good on paper, but that's not true. The first four movies bothered to give most of the characters some characterization, even if they were based on archetypes and it did give weight to their deaths. Not to mention most of Part 6's deaths were neutered by the MPAA. The only deaths that hold up with the cut gore are the heart punch, face through the RV, head twist and smiley face tree. So many characters including the cops stand around like retards and let Jason close in on them and kill them when there's nothing stopping them from running, the choreography makes no sense. The movie is under 90 minutes and it feels like 2 hours.

What are the most underrepresented yet also high potential phobias in horror movies?I cannot remember a single horror that attempted to properly utilize tripophobia (phobia from going on trips). The closest I can think off was *the description* of the Hellraiser 2 scene where some mentally ill patient imagines worms coming out of his body and even that's barely tangenitally related. It sounded real sick on paper but when I actually watched the movie it was a disappointing nothingburger. Or generally sick people with skin conditions that keep scratching and gets worse and worse.It's like horror movie producers are themselves too scared to do proper "gross outs".
