yeah, i like kubrick and there's some interesting things to discuss about it, but watching and rewatching the movie is a drag. uncompelling characters, bad performances, bad pacing, and the piano tune is annoying.

I knew very little about the movie except that it was about a sex cult, I was expecting the movie to just be about gratuitous sex scenes and the fallout of swinging & orgies between a couple or something. However I actually enjoyed the way the themes were presented in the movie even if it takes a while t setup and payoff

I found The Shining to be extremely boring and highly overrated though
