I just watched Blade for the first time. The production and cinematography was amazing, even though the CG was dated. Feige Marvel doesn't look nearly as good. Shot on film versus digital, I guess.

Physical sets, props, ect make a huge difference. Most of the time is can tell if an actor is just standing in a green room talking or reacting to nothing or a ball on a stick and it's just too distracting.

>>218609571The second one which was directed by Guillermo Del Toro is very enjoyable. They all have the same rubbish writer so the script isn’t up to much but it’s elevated by what the director brings to it and it has some great creature effects and more of a horror vibe than the first. The third one however is directed by the guy who wrote all three and it’s infamously shit. Maybe watch that one to laugh at it. There’s literally a shot where Snipes has digital eyes because he and the director were on such bad times by then that he refused to open his eyes
