bugonia is good but it's not best picture quality. if anything it should have won acting awards. it was a great acting showcase. it just doesn't have that 'oomph' factor that would take it a level beyond that.

You could easily argue Bugonia and The Substance were subversive, but I guess in a way that the media and entertainment industry dislike. Same thing Eddington that didn't even get a nomination.

It was nominated for best adapted screenplay and a lot of people that covered the movie talked about it when it was announced and when it came out. It's just that very few people have actually seen Save the Green Planet, so nobody really makes comparisons.

Bugonia accomplished what 10 Cloverfield Lane utterly failed at. What a fucking twist, it really was fucking aliens, and it wasn’t shit like in 10 Clover. Bugonia was fun, it was exciting, filled with great acting. The Alicia Silverstone casting as the conspiracy theorist mom was just brilliant. No film this year compared to Bugonia, the rest were tripe. One Battle and Sinners were race pander slop, Hamnet was boring and sounded like what a menopausal woman calls her panties. Bugonia really did shine.
