IIRC Messiah felt noir-ish with its setting. Lots of walking around the city and interviewing people, talking to strange characters. Somewhat of a heist with illusive figures that needs to be dismantled. Wasn't a broad story at all. Was such a good debrief after the epic that Dune was. Scytale was memorable as well as the navigator monstrosity who lived in a fishtank.
Im excited. The first two Dune films ware pretty much as good as they could have been in the framework of modern Holywood. I hope Dennis still wants to do Rendezvous with Rama after this and he gets carte blanche to do whatever he wants.
