When I saw this scene as a kid I don't remember the rancor (no idea why) and thought she got dropped into a device that shrunk her and turned her into one of those frog looking things that Jabba ate right afterward. So I thought Jabba's punishment was mutating her and eating her alive.

Seeing it again a couple of years later and paying attention confused me again because I was so sure that's what happened.

Literally made me a feminist at 5, well done Lucas.

I didn't understand why at the time I hated it so much. Seriously sucked any enjoyment from the film that I'd fast forward past the whole part to just the sand ship fight and the rest of the movie.
