my initial impresion of seeing the promotion for this film was that it was mike myers doing a bad jack black impression playing a side character from austin powers. that's what everyone else thought about it too, right?

If you go into it planning on watching something super dumb and expect it to be full of cheap chuckles and nasty humor, it's fun. The concept and script is retarded but the character is fun.
