Ahhh, good old Lockport, NY.

>>218651179pondeGROSSa more like it
>>218650438Hey thats my photo! Thanks for using it OP. I remember that day well, I went to see Niagara falls that week
>>218650438I actually saw Pearl Harbour back in 2001. The rest? Moulin Rouge = nah. Evolution = tempting, but I think I passed on it. Animal = Is that The Animal with Rob Shneider? If so... yeah pass. Shrek... I was 20 in 2001. I kinda passed for it being a 'kids movie'. Swordfish = More like Snorefish. What's the worst that could happen? probably me paying the ticket price to see that movie.
>>218652426kek literally everytime that pic is posted, is this a meme

movie marques before 2009 are always nostalgic because there was usually at least 1 movie worth watching, sometimes 2-3
I saw most of those movies that year. I used to go to the theaters a lot back in the day.
>>2186504382 screens at the same time
>>218650438That photo is from the Buffalo, NY area and was taken by someone here while on a family vacation to Niagara Falls. He posted some other pictures from the trip about a year ago.
>>218652647Nah, he actually posted some other pictures from the trip once. It was pretty wild.
Evolution was fun. The critics are retarded.
>>218653623you mean he found them on some abandoned myspace page and now spins a yarn to get free (You)s.
Is Pearl Harbor as bad as they say?
>Pearl HarborGoyim are too easy
>>218653491fuckin A...
>>218653983(You)s are cheap. Here, have another.>>218653983
Did anyone else think Blockbuster sucked ass as a kid? Maybe I grew up privileged but I already had all the games and consoles I wanted in the 90s and basically used Blockbuster as a "Try before you buy" kinda thing for games. Blockbuster almost always was out of good movies on weekends too, I'm glad my dad found out about Napster and Kazaa around these years.
>>218654001no it's awesome and has some terrific aerial combat scenes, especially when Affleck's character is in England. and it features one of Hans Zimmer's best tracks.
they still had Ponderosa in 2001?
Evolution and WTWTCH are both underrated. William Fichtner's gay detective steals the movie.
>>218654218Absolutely. I didn't grow up wealthy or privileged, and I still thought it sucked, mainly because of late fees and lack of instock.
>>218650438I'm smoking bowls and fucking the girl I picked up at the rave on Saturday night.
>>218650438Pearl Harbor was my first kinoplex handjob.
>>218654218I got lucky because I had this used bookstore/video store that mogged Blockbuster hard. And because normies all went to blockbuster the new movies were always in stock Friday night.
>>218650438>moulin rouge who needs it when you’ve got https://youtu.be/PiDRgDmXGi4
>>218653623ok who takes a side trip to fucking Lockport while on their Niagara Falls vacation though? it's a somewhat remote suburb, not on a major highway
>>218654218I rarely went to Blockbuster cause it was further away than Video Factory and cost more to rent there. Occasionally it was convenient to stop there to pick up a movie/game if we were picking up Little Ceasars though. I did start going there more after getting 2 free rentals a month for a year thanks to winning the 12 and up category of my store's SNES championships though.
>>218650438back then: pearl harbor. and regretted wasting 3 hours on that crap. Shrek was worth seeing and was amusing at the time, even as a 20-something.
I grew up in lockport NY. I got food poisoning at that Poderosa from a fried chicken drumstick off the buffet. I saw the LOTR movies at that theater on release day. The place is a shithole with no real jobs and has been in a state of decay for over 25 years.
>>218654486Someone that wanted to see the Erie Canal?
>>218654486They do a erie canal and lock system boat tour in the summer. There's also a cave system that has tours. Outside of that there is only walmart, fastfood, and the in of the last drive in movie theaters there. Saw the last mission impossible there. It's nice because the food is reasonably priced and it was like $14 a person for 2 films. It's a 30 minute drive from Niagara falls.
