I hope you rewatched it today.

C omfy saturday afternoon kino. For years, the only version of this flick I'd ever seen was the edited-for-tv-commericals version my mom recorded on VHS. I never could get into the full, DVD version when I finally got it.

What makes this movie so fucking cozy? The best movie to watch on a cloudy day in autumn or March
>>
>>218652873
Only when I have the flu. It’s up high in the kinos for flu category
>>
>>218652975
So only March, October, November & December? No other months of the year?
>>
>>218652873
>I hope you rewatched it today.
Of course, it's a St. Patrick's Day movie.

What are some of your other picks?
>>

The Marshals banter is top tier, lots of cozy hospital settings, even Kimball's pretending to be East European and live in a crappy apartment setting was cozy.
>>
>>218653961
Interesting enough this movie was pretty much made on a whim, they just cobbled it together and the crew and actors were improvising it as it went on which is why the dialogue from the Marshals feels so organic. Amazing that it turned out to be a great film
>>
>>218654065
I think the cast coming up with lines together greatly helped the Marshals feel like a true work unit.
>Amazing that it turned out to be a great film
Yeah lightning in a bottle. I read that people got along great on set, Ford and Jones in particular.
>>
>>218653911
Off the top of my head, Tremors, Pitch Black, The Mummy, Hunt for Red October
>>
so /tv/ really is nothing but over-the-hill old uncs, isn’t it?
>>
>>218654833
Duh it’s a millennial site
>>
>>218652975
>first half of the film is set in the Illinois wilderness
>gloomy weather
>murder mystery
>you can root for both the protagonist and the marshals hunting him since they're all likeable
>second half is Kimble going undercover in Chicago to find the true killer while narrowly evading the marshals
Its a perfect little crime thriller

The culture you were born into is bankrupt and if you cant enjoy older films I feel sorry for you. Fr no cap
>>
>>218652873
>always hated pic related scene
>zero reason for Gerard to fire his weapon
>in fact firing it in this situation is very irresponsible and even illegal
>found out Tommy Lee Jones refused to film the scene because he felt the same way
>producer followed Tommy to his trailer and yelled at him that his character is going to look like a racist POS because he shot the black guy earlier in the film if he didnt also shoot the white guy
Fucking retarded. The black guy was shot for taking Gerard's teammate hostage. To this day this scene sticks out.
>>
>>218655568
Nice trivia. Producer should get raped
>>
>>218652873
It looks like he's running fast as fuck
>>
Julianne.moore looked hot af in it.
>>
>>218652873
I usually rewatch this bad boy in december or january
>>
For the longest time I thought this was a Jack Ryan movie

How do you feel about the pseudo sequel?
>>
>>218654833
I'm a zoomer, why would I watch a modern-day shitty thriller that no one remembers when I can just watch prime kino like this?
>>
>>218655568
Very true, this was a stupid moment and interesting to see it was forced by libtard producers. Zero reason to attempt murdering Kimble here, and Kimble should have no reason to feel friendly towards Tommy at the end after this
>>
first act (to the dam jump): 10/10
second act (to Kimbel finally figuring out Nichols was behind the conspiracy): 10/10
third act (to the end of the movie, of course): 7/10

At some stage you'll realise the best films were all made some time between 1930 and 1999.
>>
>>218657804
Not as good but solid comfy 90s action movie
>>

AND YOU FIND THIS MAN
AND YOU FIND THIS MAN

>>218658140
hey G will you make me a samwich?
>>
Bubble Boy, Bruce Almighty, Buffalo 66, The Captive
>>
>>218657957
Yeah the part at the hotel at the end is kinda sloppy

HE HAD A MECHANICAL ARM

The future really was now huh?
>>
>>218655568
holy shit. i think legally he was justified to shoot given fugitive murderer but yeah it still seemed wrong. i guess 30 years ago the woke was already on.
>>
>>218657804
Wesley wasn't likable, RD Jr was totally miscast, and the girlfriend was terrible.
>>
>>218657804
A 7/10 follow up to a 10/10 movie imo. More or less the same movie just with extra convoluted spy shit added on top. By the time Wesley Snipes is wearing a ridiculous wig and having a shoot out in a graveyard with a Chinese sniper I have to ask myself how we even got here.

Still good to see the Marshals crew return, even if RDJ weighs them down a bit. I'd like to have seen an entire movie where the convict they hunt down is actually dangerous and guilty and not just another good guy who was framed.
>>
>>218658746
I'd bump it up to a 7.5
>>
>>218652873
>what is this a trench coat convention
This actor who played Sykes was kino

>>
i dont want to start a whole new thread, but this is absolutely KINO schlock. john travolta could make great shit if he wasnt trying to spend all his time being a "serious megastar" and just made more shit like this
>>
>>218653081
unless you be in the southern hemisphere n sheeeeit
>>
>>218657546
She peaked in this movie. Fun fact there was a romantic subplot between her and Kimble that they removed. Original version of this movie was probably way longer
>>
>>218652873
One of the most rewatchable movies for me along with
>Toy Story 2
>Rain Man
>Casino
