>>218658230>I had a traumatic experience with a man, now I see all MEN™ the same
>>218655889it was decent. now let's see the female equivalent.>women reject men, break them>women get rejected by men, try to destroy them>women get jealous of other better looking women, try to destroy them>women manipulate men to protect their young/serve their interestsall of the above are true and have been true since the dawn of mankind.
>>218658218>say retarded thing>predict that people will call the retarded thing you said retarded>this somehow proves your retarded opinions right

>>218655889>Men (2022) is a British folk horror film by Alex Garland, starring Jessie Buckley as a woman who retreats to the English countryside after a personal tragedy, only to be tormented by the men in the villageLet me guess, all her "tormentors" were white men, right?
>>218658526I hate women and still liked it

im pretty sure im the only person that understands this movie.>its actually about how hard/bad it is to be a man and the trauma passed down by past generations and "nature">harper is being taught a lesson by god>she tries to run away throughout most of the movie>the samuel daniel and yeats poems kinda give the game away>the priest in the bathroom scene is about the dangers of gooningkinda profetic movie, 10/10my fave garland's
the movie, like barbie, isn't about men bad, but about a woman projecting her feelings towards one man unto all men. except unlike barbie, which was subtle enough that it filtered everyone, men sucks ass because alex garland is a pretentious hack with no ideas. the central conceit doesn't work because none of the men really reflect the woman's ex beyond being a guy. the entire progression is the boilerplate a24 descent into nightmare, trauma metaphor horror. he even lifted an actress from im thinking of ending things, which im sure was an inspiration, which makes it all the more dumb.
