2014>I AM ON TRIAL FOR BEING A DWARFThis was considered Emmy worthy
2026>NIGGERthis was considered multi Oscar worthyWhat’s next?
>>218673102>This was considered Emmy worthyIt was, still is, and always will be.
>>218673264He’s a heckin acting midget, give him the Reddit award and a stool to stand on to give his award speech
>>218673264His accent was awful thoughBy far the worst "English" accent I've ever heard
>>218673146so this totally staged event is what made him win over our guy tim
What would you do here?
>>218673659If I was Oberon I would have hit the mountain in the balls, then threw my spear at Tywin while he was spectating
>>218673659Listen.
>>218673974In the book he definitely poisoned the Mountain and like at least 75% chance poisoned Tywin too. He still got his revenge even in death.
>>218673102Was there this much DEI in the books?
>>218674091Surely that makes his head exploding to gory bits worth it.
>>218673659One of my biggest “what ifs” I think about is what if Oberyn just didn’t showboat and killed Gregor without the flourish of demanding a dying psychipath name Tywin as the guy who commanded him to kill Elia Martell and her babies as if it would even matter.Tyrion would be freed, for his safety from Cersei and (maybe?) Tywin, Oberyn would take tyrion to Dorne. At which point I actually think George RR Martin would have had a much easier time roping the Dornish plot into the narrative.Tyrion would be brought by Oberyn to his brother Doran, they’d fill him in on their whole conspiracy/plan to help Daenerys take the throne. At this point tyrion absolutely hates his entire adult family (including Jaime if you include the book confession about Tysha not being a whore)Oberyn and Tyrion hook up with Varys who flees kings landing after killing Tywin himself. They travel to dany by boat. include the Quentin Martell stuff where they want her to marry him and that has complications. Oberyn can die in Meereen during some assassination attempt
>>218674091> and like at least 75% chance poisoned Tywin tooHeadcanon
>>218674127Well he didn't exactly value his life all that much, he lived dangerously and recklessly most of his life, and his ultimate goal was to get revenge on his enemies, and he knew he'd do that one way or the other.I'm sure he'd prefer not to have that happen but still, he wasn't a pussy scared of death.
>>218674129It would basically skip Tyrion's travels in Essos, that's about it from his perspective. Not all that consequential. The biggest change by far is Tywin not dying. Tywin is a much more important figure than either Tyrion or Oberyn. With a living Tywin the entire trajectory of the war/politics story changes in the last two books, especially with none of Cersei's massive fuck ups happening (e.g., arming the Faith Militant/lettng them even exist, giving away the Redwine fleet to a pirate, screwing over the Iron Bank). Tywin also would not leave Stannis alone in the North because he actually respected and feared Stannis unlike Cersei, so he would have dealt with that too.
>>218673102that was scene was PEAK though
>>218673102> Then it'll be a very... short trial.
>>218674290Just keep Tywin dying. Either Varys hides Tyrion and smuggles him out to ensure cersei/tywins men don’t find him and kill him regardless of “justice” since they obviously want him dead anyway. Tyrion crossbows Tywin same way on the way out over the shae betrayal stuff and hearing about Tywin ordering Jaime to lie about tysha being a whore.Or just have another character like Varys do it, although that’s far less dramatic basically have him do what he did to Kevin in the books, kill the competent guy in charge on the way out so things fall to shit
>>218674448Yeah I guess ultimately Tywin was going to die either way because Varys and his little birds just have superpowers of teleporting around the Red Keep and insta-assassinating super powerful people when they want. Kinda lame from a storytelling perspective but I guess it's convenient to keep things moving.
>>218673102That guard way off in the distance is me, believe it or not. My dad is in the crowd too behind a woman with massive honkers the camera on the crane kept swooping over.
