I feel bad for her, she just wanted to be the executive producer, but that's life. You can't always get what you want. I'm totally sure that if she told to Hulu's people: "OK, I will be the main star again", there will a season 8 of Buffy in no time. But that will never happen.

Make it completely miserable for both the cast who were enthusiastic about it and for fans who wanted to see it return.They should have had the story focus on Male characters, and had female characters repeatedly raped and sometimes killed. They should have recasted non-White characters with White actors. They should have had transgender characters be misgendered so badly they fucking de transition. And when this happens to every new show for the next ten years then we'll finally start to be even.
