Why is it so bad? The other 2 movies were at least somewhat enjoyable.
>>218683821Everyone always struggles with the middle. You have the beginning in mind, you can build the story and characters well, you know how to end it on the right note, you have the climax in mind, you can easily give a good send-off. But the middle? That's the tricky part.
>>218683912thanks George.
Honestly RotS is a bit of a slog. You could take a good 20 mins out of the action scenes and you wouldn't miss much.
>>218683821You were filtered
>>218684184nah you're just stupid if you liked this trash.
>>218684141Revenge of the Sith has like 5 fights. It's not a slog by any means.
>>218683821>sloppy unpolished script>clunky, awkward acting with zero chemistry between actors>awful overuse of cgi, didnt even look that good for its time>bloated run time, filled with filler content>whole thing is a giant slog to get throughIts overuse on call backs and shoehorning in characters was really cheap. And having the main bad guy of the film, Count Dooku, not even show up until the final scene of the movie was stupid and a waste of Christopher Lee. Hes this rouge jedi and aristocrat and we see him do basically nothing.
>>218683821>The other 2 movies were at least somewhat enjoyable.Lol no.
>>218683821The "romance."It's pure cringe. Creepy even. It's boring and it gets everywhere.
>>218684720It is when the fights are garbage.
>>218683821I only watch the scenes with Anakin and Padme, particularly the romantic scenes. I don't care for the rest. It all seems a little silly, even the politics, which is sidelined.
>>218683821You don't understand 50s kino, it's alright.
Taste cancer. AotC is the best prequel movie
I like Attack of the Clones
>>218684720It is when the fights are pointless time wasters with no stakes.
>>218683821I agree with Mr Plinkett that RotS is the worst one, I don't know why people say it's goodTPM at the very least is a not-terrible 90s summer action movie if you pretend it's not star wars
>>218683912This is why I don't write my stories from beginning to middle to end. I write out of order with all of the exposition file, all the important character dialogue in another file, all the action scenes in another file then fit them together afterwords. I think of it as building the skeleton of the story and fleshing it out after the fact where needed. It also stops me from writing in myself into a corner.
>>218683821all 3 movies are great
>>218683821Because it was mid.
It has too much stuff to do, and the Phantom Menace didnt set up enough to help in along.>let's have a trilogy with a major time jump between 1 and 2Good job, now you have to reestablish huge portions of your character-work, because the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anikan is fundamentally completely different than the last movie you spent together with them. But then you choose to seperate them so you can do the Padme seduction arc, leading to you needing to try and cram all that character work in too small of a portion of the movie. And of course you need to set up an entire galactic war on top of all that. The Phantom Menace should have been little more than the opening to Attack of the Clones, which would have been movie 1 of the trilogy and had much more time for things to pan out.

>>218683821The CGI wasn't ready. TPM looks better because it had way more practical aspects complimenting the CGI. ROTS looks better because the CGI improved a great deal.I rewatched AOTC recently, and everything at the coliseum and afterwards is just eye barf. I remember as a kid, that yoda going ape shit at the end was the only part I liked (I was in the TPM age range, not AOTC age range), but now, I think the first two acts are much better than the final act.
>>218683821>Why is it so bad? It's not.
>218685494 (You)>I agree with Plinkett
>>218684823>awful overuse of cgi, didnt even look that good for its timeJust to play doubles advocate, part of the reason why Clones and Sith look so shitty is because Lucas was genuinely trying to push film technology into digital, so two of the three prequels were shot on cameras that were not future proofed. They didn't really know how to even light for digital yet, and on top of the compositing it makes a lot of the effects look worse. Even then they're using miniatures it looks like a screen saver because its just a low res digital photo pasted over green screen. I honestly find the phantom menace the most rewatchable of them all because it was shot on film and on locations, and that stuff makes a difference.
>>218688696What did you think of The Clone Wars? I say skip season 1 and its several seasons of kino.
