Streaming companies especially push this since data analytics can identify "low attention" scenes. Movies are made for shareholders, not viewers, and the only goal is to generate short term profit and appease shareholders who do not watch movies but like buzzwords and graphs.

Sadly because of a such low bidding system, it looks like crap.CGI and VFX often looked better in the 00s and even 90s when they did effects in house or with specific dedicated studios. Plus, with modenr VFX, when they redo effects last minute for reshoots and testvaudience input, it looks even worse.
