Why doesn't he get more shit for performing his own stunts?
Every time he performs a stunt on his own he is taking food away from a stuntman's family.
I know stuntmen personally who had to get side hustles laying bricks or selling weed to make ends meet, they all hate Cruise.

He certainly has multiple stuntmen to test run the stunts to see if they're even possible and then train him on how to do them. If anything, he probably has to employ more stuntmen than just using them directly.
