Is this worth watching? I like the concept but the pilot didn't make me laugh once. Does it get better?

Married with Children got cancelled after 11 seasons because pearl clutchers didn't like that it "promoted" dysfunctional families. Also most people don't even know the difference between sociopath and psychopath.
I think it generally gets better, but it doesn't quite come together the way I hoped.Watch it because you want to see something odd, not because you want a funny sitcom. It is pretty funny but I felt a little let down by it.I admire the show a lot. Broadcast TV could use more bold swings like this.

>>218693440The angle was Tim Burton was a fan and told Chris he wanted to work with him so Chris and his writing partner made a script tailored to what they thought Tim liked and then it got greenlit, but then Tim lost interest and was focused on Ed Wood instead. It was too far along already though so Chris' partner ended up directing and it basically killed their careers.Still remember watching this on a Saturday afternoon on broadcast TV, lol. All the flops from Paramount and Disney subsidiaries used to play then.
