>>218693423>Bill was with Janny that night, shitposting in a dubs thread>You report the thread, Janny leaves the thread running, then Bill turns up an hour later, deleting the thread, expecting to get paid>But you never told Janny he'd be getting paid
>I understand that nobody on gookmoot's staff know that you're currently posting on /tv/>you're officially 'posting off-topic'?>...on the Banned List? You must have just read the trilogy and watched both series too, OP you sneak. They're so fucking good.

You’re at the Circus. This guy comes up and slaps your wealthy, upper class wife’s ass (in the name of the Soviet Union). What would you do?
I report off topic posts.

>>218693423I liked the 2011 movie
>>218695364ask him what Prideaux thinks about him cheating with femoids>>218697646it's best to think of them as a singular whole honestly
>>218697765It's as good as it could possibly have been given (a) the runtime restriction, and (b) the current year.
>>218697646I didn't warm up to it as much as Tinker Tailor originally, but on a rewatch of both series last summer I came to appreciate it just as much
>>218697765>>218701360I prefer the film to the TV seriesa lot of people wanted to be spoon fed dialogue by questionable actors like in the TV series, and Alfredson replied with silence, then cast a bunch of great actors who spent a whole lot of time not saying anythingbrilliant execution
>>218693423the tv show sucked and was even slower than the book.the movie is the best versionhttps://youtu.be/4VDdhfnejXU?si=iqCgibu3wHe9WEqr

Did anybody else think it was weird how Toby Esterhase’s accent changed between TTSS and SP?
have any of you read the honorable schoolboy?
>>218703705It's my favorite of the trilogy.
>>218703671He was a hungarian larping as a british gentleman in Tinker Tailor and had dropped the act in Smiley's PeopleAnyway, I absolutely love Hepton in that role
>>218703725good take it really is, for everyone else if you want more their is the 2nd book in the trilogy between ttss and smileys people
>>218695364
>>218703774Yeah, I kind of figured out what they were going for since he explicitly says what you said about giving up the charade. I just thought it was weird that his accent got noticeably worse. I speak a foreign language and when I’m in the country where that language is spoken I do try to fit in with the local culture, but if one day I decided I wasn’t gonna try to fit anymore, my accent wouldn’t suddenly get worse.
>>218704005*figured that’s what they were going for
>>218704005I'm sure you've seen brits and aussie actors speak American on film and still retain their natural accent when speaking in interviews and whatever, it's the same thingAnd in personal experience I can speak english perfectly well without much of an accent but when I'm just dropping random english phrases in the middle of speaking my native language to my friends when we're playing a game or something, I won't bother contorting my mouth to pronounce it properly but rather just speak with a retarded accent
