Season 6 was fuckin terrible and Lalo was laughable as a villain

exactly this. the timejump felt abrupt af and you can't make me believe that Season 6 Saul was the same Saul in Breaking Bad. Fucking terrible writing

It really felt like they didn’t know how long the show would go. It seemed like they had a plan at the end of season 1, with him going back to Chicago and taking his friend’s pinky ring, right up until he made the Saul Goodman commercial. Then it went off kilter for awhile and they tried to steer it back in season 5. But it ended up being overshadowed by Saul’s punished Goodman “friend of the cartel” shit where he behaved more like season 1 or 2 Saul than how he’d been built up up until the season 5 premiere

The Gene scenes are some of the most boring that Breaking Bad universe has to offer
>>
>>218702015
I wish they would rerelease it without the faggy black & white shit. It’s so pretentious
>>
>>218702120
With the exception of the "Sugar Town" scene (which I love because that song is banger), the black and white flashforward solifies that Better Call Saul will never, ever be as good as or "better than Breaking Bad" (LMFAO). Pretentious shit.

There's also a lot of useless fan service throughout the show, and Lalo being a Salamanca is just lazy writing.

It somewhat made sense for the flash-forwards since they were only a few minutes at the start of a season, but they obviously never planned on an extended post-Breaking Bad story, and felt like they were stuck with the black and white for whatever reason. The whole universe actually is just them writing themselves into a corner then barely writing themselves out of it.

I don't even remember what happened in Season 6, but I agree that Lalo was an absurd villain. He's teased as some super-genius but then he just... ignores his intuition and lets characters get away with betraying him to create fake drama.

Lalo headshotting all of Gus's minions before they can react is the most cartoonish thing in the setting.
>>
Lalo is badly written, Gus is terribly acted.

is this the thread

Lalo would be among the best villains in fiction if he actually killed Gus and changed fate itself, but Vince is a coward.

bravo Vince

I thought this. Tuco is a low IQ retard. His uncle is basically a slave to the cartel boss who he hates; but all of a sudden there's a longlost Salamanca who's a big brained chad who is extremely resourceful to the point he can survive in the desert and go to the other side of the world to find someone who is basically invisible.
Lalo really ruined BCS.
