The subtext of the episode's script is basically "music used to be good but now it's all boring and it sucks" and the entire Massive Genius subplot ends up being less about his beef with Hesh and more an excuse for the writers to shit on late 90's alternative. Half of the entire episode is dedicated purely to talking shit about Adriana's friend and his terrible band, which is funny the first time but gets boring on rewatch.
So many boring subplots I care nothing about. Having a tough time getting through it all.

By S6 she knew Tony was untreatable, she just developed a weird emotional dependence on Tony, especially after Employee of the Month. The reason she had to drop Tony was because Elliot outed her patient to her whole social circle, so she used that study to cope instead of admitting she violated professional ethics for years. She was just avoiding accountability just like she does throughout the show.

It is in fact not okay to be "loyal" to your murdering drug dealing extorting father to keep living your comfy life when you could do something about it.
