The biggest issue Fishtank has is that Jet claims he’s trying to run a fair game and he’s obviously trying to elevate this season into a more standard Big Brother style show. On paper, it makes sense, but the reason anyone tunes into BB and other reality shows is that they aren’t “fair” games, they don’t let the people inside decide who stays or goes and they make their contestants appeal to the audience for survival. The people who run those shows know they need to manipulate drama to keep it entertaining and they use subtle techniques to ensure the least entertaining contestants are removed early to retain viewers. Combine that with the fact that a good >50% of FT viewers just want to see torture and they’re not getting that either does not bode well for the rest of the season.
