LOTR readers praise it, movie goers praise it, the tolken family are just mad they didnt get more money or some shit so they panned it. The One Piece adaptation is well received due to how close it sticks to the adaptation, of course things will change, some changes are necessary just to make it fit better in a live action, while other changes are ego/agenda related. Samurai Champloo live action better follows the adaptation as close to 1:1 as they can... I swear if they Mugen anything other than a dark skinned jap im not watching.
