I've always been staunchly team Rowling, even though I'm not a Potterhead.I was already outgrowing YA fiction by the time Harry Potter came out. I read them all naturally but they never resonated with me as much as His Dark Materials.That being said, the HBO trailer so far looks closer to how I originally envisioned the books. It feels a bit more genuinely British from that late'90s early '00s era rather than the glamourized version we got on screen.Hagrid looks great, like an actual tramp.Of course it'll depend on the flow of the episodes, trsiler can be misleading.
