You know, I've known about this series for years and it didn't dawn on me how fucking stupid it was to try to adapt a movie as sharp in soul as the first HP on a fucking HBO budget until I saw the trailer.
>>
I mean the movies weren't bad.
I guess they just thought maybe if they already have the rights to the franchise, they could milk it some more. I just don't think doing a retelling of the books again is a good idea.

More than anything, this picture just makes me mad that Hogwarts Legacy sucked balls.

You can pinpoint the exact moment the franchise went off the rails when this came out.

KINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It was already soulless by the fourth movie albeit.

The problem with trying to remake this movie nowadays is that the modern age is so fake and soulless that it will never work.
>>
>>218939173
always loved the mirror scene
>>
>>218939173
I didn't even like this movie that much but damn, can you genuinely just not recreate something like this nowadays?
>>
>>218939173
So anons
are you gonna boycott it?
Im not sure I want to see whatever the fuck program is in this polarizing piece of shit
>>
>>218939173
Back when movies were movies. Films were films. And fun was, well… fun!
>>
>>218939774
There's nothing to boycott, man. It just looks like absolutely soulless shit. Why would anyone even want to watch it to begin with?
>>
>>218939774
I'm just not going to watch it like the lord of the rings show and the game of thrones prequel show
it's that simple
>>
the first movie was mostly shot pre-9/11. thats probably one reason why it feels so different.
>>
>>218939774
boycott? What is there to watch? It has no watch value
>>
>>218939499
What are you talking about, 4th is peak soul. That's why there's so many memes of it. 5th and onwards is when it became the dullest franchise.

>HP1: Chris Columbus
>HP2: Chris Columbus
>HP3: Alfonso Cuaron
>HP4: Mike Newell
>HP5/6/7p1p2 + Fantastic Beasts: David Yates
The soullessness definitely started with Yates, so I'm wondering who in charge of the IP allowed this talentless hack to continue directing anything HP related later on or was it actually Rowling?

Apologise for what

I never met anyone who didn't love these movies
>>
>>218939173
im not hp fan or hater but the first movie is legit a good film.
>>
>>218939906
It feels different because it had a competent cinematographer. People suck off Chris Columbus but the biggest thing he did since Potter was the Pixels movie. Biggest thing the cinematographer did was Mad Max Fury Road.
