In a lot of Zelda games, the Gerudo just don't appear at all. Even when you're expecting them to make an appearance. I was playing Skyward Sword, and as soon as I entered the desert area, I kept hoping something Gerudo-related would make an appearance. It never happened. It's like Nintendo knows the concept of a brown race of thieves is highly problematic and so it's best to keep them minimal. I bet the movie will be afraid to use the Gerudo as well.
