One of the better sci-fi action movies, certainly. It's one of few movies in my regular rewatch rotation. Always leaves me in tears. The drones are one of the best robots in film, the way their beeping and booping gave them an actual personality--a feat not often accomplished with robots--and facial expressions, to boot.

Now, some time after, the twist obviously doesn't hit me as hard, but it's still entertaining. The set design and concept art are still immaculate, I wish they released an art book. People on LB call it a movie-long video game cutscene and I don't think they're wrong, I'd play the fuck out of that.
It's got some great parts but overall it was really mediocre, the whole thing with morgan and that lannister dude shouldnt have been in the movie.

iirc this movie was made with some trickery on Kosinsky's part. The director convinced funders that it was based on a classic French comic or whatever. There were enticing visuals presented and concept art based on ''the comic'', but in reality they were all his own creations or made by commission so that he could get the movie made.
