Haven't posted here in ages, you guys are crazy for still being here. But I was thinking about this series again recently and what stood out to me is the large number of compelling and highly masculine characters. Stannis, Davos, Victarion, Maekar, Tywin, Barristan, Jorah and many more. It's the best part of Gurm's stuff, and honestly if people had any taste I think he'd be criticized for not being as good at creating female characters, but all he has to do is write a couple of annoying girlbosses and the retards will eat it up.
