Seriously where did he go? You can’t even google him without getting some other random cbs host with the same name.

Where did his writers go is the real question
>>
>>218988715
He was good off the cuff in interviews as well tho
>>
>viacom owns both cbs and comedy central, the channel that aired the colbert report
>tells him he can't do the stephen colbert character from the colbert report on cbs because it's property of viacom
What did they mean by this?
>>
>>218989242
Probably keeps things tidy in the event one of the divisions or its IP gets sold. Kind of like how it's hard to find full eps of Beavis & Butthead because Viacom owns the show but the music videos were someone else's IP and the rights to use them expired.
>>
I unironically liked the character he played on the Colbert Report but I cannot fucking stand him being himself. Yes Im an anti-vaxxer.
>>
We're now pretending that the Colbert Report was good? He was every bit an unfunny propagandist then as he is now, he just doesnt play the tongue in cheek conservative strawman now.
>>
>>218990368
Go to bed unc. I’m sorry Facebook banned you for “simply quoting Limbaugh” even if it was a bit inappropriate to do so on the wall of your 12 year old niece.

What a nonsensical response when you started the directionbrain posting to begin with. I’m sorry I mistook you for a Facebook refugee and not a r/thedonald refugee (indicated by your apparent rent free reddit thoughts).

A tongue in cheek conservative bit is infinitely better than preachy liberal bullshit. Politics is inherently fake and gay so taking the piss out of it is a lot better than taking it genuinely at face value.

Hate to break it to you, but if you're reminiscing about the colbert report youre officially an unc.
>>218990959
Considering it was meant to be viewed back to back with the daily show, its all a part of the same propaganda machine so no thank you. Half hour of Jon Stewart telling you "our side good!" followed by a half hour of Colbert telling you "My side bad!" And you retards are missing this shit lol
>>
>>218992167
>the side that randomly invaded the Middle East and got hundreds of thousands killed and collapsed the economy and fumbled so hard we elected a black guy with the goofiest name ever is le good
>>
>>218992167
Hard to believe as it may be A LOT of the Daily Show/Colbert Report content wasn’t about niche partisan minutiae day to day. Much of it was just commentary on the days news items political or not. I think it probably geared up around the 2012 election into mostly political commentating but my memory isn’t that good. I’m rewatching the old seasons (1+ terabyte at 720p lol) right now and there’s not as much politics as I remembered/expected considering their last few seasons.

>republican bomb desert people bad
>democrat bomb desertvpeople good!
Obongo commanded more military actions and ordered more drone strikes in the middle east than Bush and Teump combined. I thought you were just retarded but youre a full on kool aid drinker who just misses the sippy cup he used to drink it from lmao
>>
So how long will it take tv to admit that best colbert was actualky in strangers with candy and voice acting for adult swim cartoons
>>
>>218992938
>bro just see into the future lol
those events hadn’t happened yet anon… I was merely speaking to the reality of what was going on when both shows began broadcasting in tandem. Just because I point this out, doesn’t mean I support the next administration at all. I think the connotation of my post was pretty clear on that. directionbrain cancer has gotten you. Seek jesus
>>
>>218992938
> Obongo commanded more military actions and ordered more drone strikes in the middle east than Bush and Teump combined
Bush invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. Oboner and Droomp have nothing to do with that. Millions died from those actions. Mostly sandniggers sure, but a few thousand coalition soldiers too
>>
>>218988879
His out of character interviews back then are the same as the Late Show now
>>
>>218993424
I wouldn’t know :/
>>

>Half hour of Jon Stewart telling you "our side good!" followed by a half hour of Colbert telling you "My side bad!" And you retards are missing this shit lol
The thing is that both sides are bad, so regardless of which is which, I'd rather have the guy saying 'this side is bad' than the guy saying 'this side is good'. Its like the difference between getting two sides of propaganda versus one side of propaganda and one side of realism.

what i love about steven colbert is he doesn't realize he's still a caricature. he used to be a caricature of republicans and general right wing ideology. then he became openly liberal and acted as his true self, but he's now just a caricature of the left and democrats instead. he's still funny if you still view him this way.
>>
>>218990368
They liked it, I was way too young to be here over a decade ago and when people referenced him I never understood but he was well liked. Sometimes it just takes a little time to grow out of things, or you end up like >>218990462, >>218990815 who gets insanely mad when you don't find George Carlin funny.
>>
>>218994477
You don’t know he isn’t still playing a character. He never really broke in all his years on Colbert Report. What if he simply took his performance art to the next level.
>>
>>218994594
That’s me and you’re wrong. You’ve been completely pozzed by sideism
>>
>>218994725
Sure faggot. Eat shit Bluesky refugee.
>>
>>218994772
proving the point. Colbert Report is funny, niggers commit crimes, you will never be a woman, Limbaugh was cringe. You should try thinking for yourself once in awhile and not holding a basket of ideas to minmaxx your updoots dude

I opened the page once in 2010 but it reminded me too much of Digg so I ignored it. What happens there?
>>
>>218995607
lmao dig? Were you a Digger, or a Digroe?
>>
>>218986909
Colbert is a raging faggot, always has been. He voiced Professor Impossible on Venture Bros, as soon as he became more famous he basically told them to fuck off when they asked him to VA the character again.

He is the embodiment of a douche just saying whatever to crawl his way up the Hollywood/Democrat Media Totem Pole
>>
>>218996028
He literally voiced a character on Rick and Morty in the 2010s. Doc Hammer must’ve pissed him off somehow
>>
>>218992707
Good comment. Anyone could watch TCR or TDS without knowing about politics back in the day. You watch Stewart these days and he'll reference shit you only hear if you're on bluesky all day.
>>
>>218994477
>he's still funny if
His old persona was funny and witty - this new one is just mean-spirited and shallow. Even if I took it as a parody, it wouldn't be funny, because he lost all of that previous charm, for some reason.

I honestly don't get it. Was he always like this, but managed to hide it extremely well? Or did TDS really break him that bad?

I almost think it’s just the job. It’s not like he’s even been politically active outside of the show itself.
>>
Colbert was actually funny when he was pretending to be a conservative

R&M was way more mainstream and popular than Venture Bros. Venture Bros was great but you need to be an advanced level nerd to get half the jokes.
>>
>>218989242
>is such a spiteful drama queen he vows to play his new "character" as the polar opposite - a smug, insufferable and corporate loving libshit
Be funny if he admits to this in a few years, even if he's full of shit

Im such a slut I’d forgive him
