I would say read the manga, you could do the anime for the earlier arcs, at least through Thriller Bark, but ultimately you're going to switch to the manga regardless. The anime as an adaptation is a mess beyond the pacing being obviously fucked, I don't see how the edited version would fix it shit like that stupid animation decisions in later seasons that make everything look weird and not like One Piece. The anime did animate a lot of things well, and it is worth checking those out but I would do that only if you're a super fan and want to see those individual pieces imo.

Well, it was a very episodic season. So was the first one, I suppose. Next one, we should get Alabasta, which will likely be an arc that most of the season, if not the whole season will be dedicated to and not just a couple three episodes. That will wrap up the whole Baroque Works story.

I liked the Drum Island arc and Wapol just fine.

Just do the manga, better art, better pacing, and you can get through it a lot faster. Even One Pace can't save the god awful pacing of the anime toward the end.

i also think drum island was easily the worst part of the season, but i think wapols actor was incredible and was really going for it. his costume was excellent too. i think the hiriluk stuff was kind of overrated people are calling him the best supporting actor on the show but i think mr. 3 and mr. 9 kinda mogged
