>>219041445Part of me thinks it might have something to do with the lack of setbuilding or shooting on location for TV shows nowadays.Instead of having several sets on a backlot somewhere that can be reused over and over again for dozens of episodes, every show now has to be filmed in front of a green screen, animations have to be properly motion capped, you've got to do hundreds of takes for everything because none of the actors know just what the fuck they're supposed to be reacting to, and then at the end of all that you've got to send it off to fucking Bangladesh or India so an underpaid CGI farm can spend six months shitting out some lazy backgrounds and special effects.The original Buffy series in the 90s put out well over 100 episodes in 7 years, while this shit will probably struggle to make 7 episodes every 2-3 years.
