>makes significant changes and works to improve his life
>gets punished for something he did years prior and goes to prison for it
>this completely undoes all of his character development and he goes back to acting like an asshole in the finale
genuinely awful writing
>>
The creator heard Harvey Weinstein liked the show so he sabotaged it out of spite

>Normal words, but a HORSE GUY!
>>
>>219060290
It’s teshuvah. Goyim wouldn’t understand.
>>
>>219060290
That sounds pretty realistic to me
>>
>>219060290
the show went on too long and they ran out of ideas, it should have ended around season 3 or 4. you can tell in those earlier seasons Bojack was more sympathetic and there was a kernel of optimism underneath all the cynicism. but the longer it went on the more detached they got from that, and by the time they got around to ending it they didn't know how to wrap it up and had to do something dramatic. also it was around the peak of MeToo and cancel culture.

I still like the show despite its faults but it overstayed its welcome.
>>
>>219060692
They didn't really have a choice. Bojack was a horrible person who did horrible things and ruined a lot of peoples lives. The moral can't be: do whatever you want, if you feel bad about it later then it's fine.
>>
>funny little comedy
>ruin it by trying to be serious
>>
>>219060290
>bojack asks girl if she wants to go on a bender
>she immediately says yes and pulls a bunch of drugs out of two hiding places literally within arms reach
>this is later retconned to him providing the drugs
>he goes to jail for it
complete bullshit
>>
>by the way Bojack literally started Sarah Lynn's drug addiction. Yeah we know that we're 5 seasons into the show with only a few episodes to go, and this was literally never alluded to before, but it's a thing now. Also he caused her death by not calling an ambulance right away. This was also not mentioned before.
Bravo.
>>
>>219061080
Even better, the moment she stepped out of rehab she said "Fuck yeah, time for some drugs!". But no it was le evil Bojack who clearly coerced her into it
>>
>>219060750
I'd be ok with it if the whole thing wasn't instigated by those horrible two journalist characters. Serious some of the most annoying things ever conceived by a human mind, how the fuck did that get greenlit?
>>
>>219061349
Yeah what a terrible fucking idea. You can't introduce characters who only exist to ruin the protagonist's life and expect them to be funny and likeable. Moronic decision.
>>
>>219061349
>>219061411
They didn't ruin his life. He ruined his own life by doing all of those horrible things. He has to take responsibility for his own actions.
>>
>>219061468
>He was retconned into doing all those terrible things
ftfy
>>
>>219061080
>>219061175
she found the heroine in his glove compartment retards.
>>
>>219061506
He had sex with Sarah Lynn while she was vulnerable despite being a father figure to her and took drugs with her while he knew she was recovering. It was degenerate, selfish and wrong.
>>
>>219061684
You don't get how this works. Anything a white man does = good. Anything a women or nigger does = bad. Anything beyond that is woke.
>>
>>219061684
Sarah Lynn took advantage of him too.
>>
>>219061751
Come on, don't be a faggot about it. He's decades older than her and was like a father to her.
>>
>>219061684
He has sex with an adult woman who consented and did drugs with an adult woman who expressed the desire to do drugs the moment he stepped out of rehab
Damn, a real criminal
no wonder they had to retcon the ambulance thing in to find a way to incriminate him somehow
>>
So whats the moral of the story, we shouldn't imprison criminals because they are trying to get their lives back on track?

Or is that jail is a fucking retarded system?
>>
>>219061799
>adult in her 30s can't make her own decisions
What's with faggots and not wanting to hold women accountable?
>>
>>219061924
The moral is don't ruin your show on the finishing line because you're a leftoid faggot and want a piece of that Metoo frenzy
>>
>>219060359
Wokejak Cuckman never recovered from this.
>>
>>219062046
This is just woke bullshit. He was a druggie degenerate. Why shouldn't he go to jail? He has pre-marital sex and breaks the law constantly.
>>
Touca and Birdie was way more infuriating imo
>Write a show about the anxieties and confusions of being an adult, getting married, etc.
>ACKSHYUALLY ITS CAUSE SHE WAS HECKIN RAPED!

I have never been so fucking pissed off at a show.
>>
>>219060290
But this way the writers got to unleash their internalised pent up rage at the audience that connected with the character despite the constant attempts to character-assassinate him
>>
>>219062149
If you relate to Bojack you are a degenerate liberal.
>>
>>219062146
Nobody watched that tranny shit
>>
>>219060290
i don't think bojack did anything truly terrible, what did he go to prison for? the creator is a retard
>>
>>219060750
Murdering Sarah Lynn was a dumb escalation of his crimes.
>>
>>219060290
What's the point in having a horse guy as the protagonist of your "adult cartoon" if you don't show off his big horse cock every episode?
>>
>>219061411
This. They were far too one note and gimmicky to care about. I know Bojack has to get his comeuppance but the least they could’ve done is made the exposers more likable or sympathetic characters.
>>
>>219062243
>what did he go to prison for?
I think it was something to do with Sara Lynn? But the explicit implication was that it was really for 'everything'
>>
>>219060359
/thread
>>
>>219060437
So teshuvah also implies fake repentance and going back at being an asshole? The jewish religion is fucked up.
>>
>>219062146
>learns to get over her trauma and stops using it as a crutch in the next two seasons
I think if more people watched it they'd come around considering the message of Tuca's lesbian partner which crashed and burned due to her abusive tendencies, finding a stable tree person to put down roots with instead. That alone is what elevates T and B for me is that both characters showed some development and kept it.
>>
>Jews cause the death of child actors/pornstars/whoever by direct suicide or self-destructive tendencies due to exploitation

Who'da thunk it?
>>
>>219061507
Why would Bojack do heroin? That's so lame. Heroin sounds like something only the lower classes do, like crack or fentanyl.
>>
>>219060290
Dude, it's a horse but he has human emotions. That's so crazy! xDD
