>>219063751The Spaulding bits are great, but he's squandered, and the rest is a paper-thin torture porn TCM knockoff with one of the most annoying casts that I've ever seen committed to film. Zombie realized that he underutilized Spaulding, so he made him the de facto MC in Devil's Rejects and more grounded, and it was all the better off for it. From everything else I've watched from his filmography, I'm convinced that Devil's Rejects was good by accident, or Lionsgate wasn't afraid to tell him when to dial it back.

Felt like a David Lynch movie and took a big swing trying something different. It will probably forever be the last Halloween flick shot on film too.

Unfortunately, his wife can't act worth a shit and he puts her front and center in every movie he directs. She consistantly ruins every scene she's in and she's in almost every scene. Every time she opens her mouth it takes me out of the movie. Her acting is THAT bad. She turns what could be quality entertainment into pure cringe. Sad.....
