Why is there so much filler in this show?
>>219102020Why are you still watching?
>>219102036It's a good show with intriguing lore. This season so far has been excellent.
>>219102334>It's a good show with intriguing lore. Please unironically explain how this show has good lore and isn't actually an inconsistent mess. Or what makes this season any good.
>>219102334>It's a good showNo it isn't.
>>219102451Do you remember the 2010s Cartoon Network movie "Firebreather" about a blonde half human half dragon highschooler? Well that movie has good lore and it's canonically set in the same universe as Invincible thus Invincible has good lore
>>219102334this season isnt good and this show has fallen hard since the first season, which is consistent with the author's other works. with the time between seasons and sheer amount of money available to Amazon every season should shame a One Piece episode but instead they mock us. if these fucks are going to only give us 8 episodes per year then i dont want to watch filler like episode 4, and i dont want to watch some band's fucking music video for 5 minutes at the start of episode 1. advance the god damn plot and make it look good
>>219102334Why doesn't Nolan wear shoes anymore?
>>219102334Look, I enjoy invincible, I really do, but intriguing lore?Come on
>>219102020because it's cheaper to animate the same 2 frames for 5 minutes straight than to actually make a real show.
Problem is, this episode needed a B Plot. Most episodes have multiple plots going on simultaneously, and we switch back and forth between them. "Aliens are invading!" cut to "Oliver is fighting a dragon!" cut back to aliens, cut back to Oliver. A Plot, B Plot. Sometimes, there's even a C Plot! This episode didn't do that. No B Plot. Just 45 minutes of one storyline, one setting, one objective. It's unusual. It's unconventional. Our brains haven't been trained to expect this when watching a TV show.If this episode had a B Plot going on (Omni Man encounters trouble on the way back to Earth?) then we would cut back and forth between A Plot and B Plot, and 50% of the "filler" could have been cut out.Episode really needed a B Plot.Darkblood is my favorite character, though, so I was eatin' good.
>>219103464i actually enjoyed it. i feel like invincible juggles too many things at once and loses focus sometimes. like this green mummy ghost that keeps popping up once or twice every season. why are they wasting screentime on that?
>>219103464Agreed, it felt like every scene was dragged out too long and I found my self skipping ahead because I stopped caring about the little side talks they were having that just felt like filler. If there was a b-plot and the story was more condensed it wouldn't have been so bad
This week's episode was so ass.
I'm getting very confused by how this show's story is supposed to function. It feels like whoever wrote this has ADHD and feels the need to constantly add new plots out of nowhere which he drops or follows up on at random. It's not really comfy, it's just confusing. You have the ending of season 1 then season 2 just doesn't really seem to have an emotional continuity from that moment but there's this eco-terrorist guy, he has to go underwater, there's the batman guy's sidekick and apparently an entire city has been cursed? What the fuck? There's just too much fucking shit going on at once. This show is exhausting to watch and not very comfy.I started watching this show because I found the central premise to be interesting.
