I'm playing super mario on a poorly coded nintendo 64 emulator
>>219115205What bother me is the lack of controller to play Mario 64. Sounds like a pain in the ass with how crap the camera is.
>>219115343Filtered hard
>>219115205FACT: TBBT wasnt as bad as people pretend it was and the only reason why its hated today is precisely because it exposed the autistic cringy "Nerd culture" making all the redditors seetheIts not more offensively bad than lets say Friends or HIMYM
>>219115205
>>219115437Yes, I don't like the camera even with a controller.
>>219115343It honestly plays better with keyboard controls
>>219115464TRUFT NUKE, adding to this Two and a Half Men tooYou and me anon, we two who loved these Chuck Lorre shows know the truth
>>219115464I bet you post this in every thread about the show and tell yourself that people think it's multiple posters. The worst thing about this show was the compulsive studio audience laughter in places where there was no joke made, only a reference to something. Then like any sitcom it went on so long that the writing became so bad it was unwatchable.
>>219115205It's funny how this is the quintessential "fake nerd" show, yet during this scene every time he pauses the game it uses the correct Mario 64 pause sound and correct game sounds when playing it. I can't think of any other sitcom that used accurate video game things and just does the typical laser sounds.
>>219115205it do be like that though
>>219115464No, it was insulting
>>219115571Platformers are better with controllers and FPS/TPS are better with mouse and keyboard
>>219115205>sheldon is the average /vr/ poster
>>219115464>>219115205I do like first season where Sheldon is still not mentally retarded cripple that needs 24/7 supervision to function in society.
>>219115464Friends and HIMYM have strong, well-defined characters (except for maybe Ted) The only strong character in BBT is Sheldon, everyone else is just a walking punchline
>>219115464https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKS3MGriZcshi-larious
>>219115982Idk I remember getting really good playing mario 64 with a keyboard
I remember a scene where Sheldon (a fictional character) solved some big (fictional) science problem, and the studio audience cheered and clapped as if he'd done something impressive in real life.
>>219115745>laugh trackWatch thishttps://youtu.be/15lF3UCobXY
>>219115745>>219116057>muh audience laughterso literally every sitcomdo they same video for fiends and it will look as lame
>>219115505Dont point out to Nintendies how their games from like 30 years ago didnt age so good
>>219116283https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgKgXehYnnwthis is funny though
>>219115464As an autistic person Sheldon's pretty decent autistic representation, he just has the flaws of being an arrogant dick like any other heel type genius character. These people would have a fit over Dexter's Lab.
>>219115464It was based how they were always on the cutting edge with the pop culture refs. Sheldon was totes a Blackfyrebro, The King Who Bore The Sword!
>>219115205>>219115464I've seen people say that they would have preferred a full Welcome to Eltingville series instead of TBBT. People often compare bothhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxFzRBQL2Ko&pp=ygUcd2VsY29tZSB0byBlbHRpbmd2aWxsZSBwaWxvdA%3D%3D
>>219115205I'll be honest, I didn't much care for what I saw of tbbt. But I actually unironically like the clips I've seen of young Sheldon and might consider watching it fully. But then I heard they made another spinoff of it about his brother and I'm just like, what are we doing here?
>>219115464>TBBT wasnt as bad as people pretend it wasAs an unironic fan of the show, it's objectively pretty bad... When Bernadette and Amy become permanent characters. The seasons and episodes without them are a great slice of life of fucking geeks desperate for sex.
But why did he choose a poorly coded emulator?
>>219115464It was hated due to the social context at the time it became a hit show. You wouldn't be aware of that so, to you, it's just another mid sitcom. Of course you're confused and think you're saying some kind of controversial opinion. But its significance comes from what it represented at the time, not its surface level qualities as a major network prime time sitcom.
>>219115982Autistic zoomies learn to play their platformers with keyboards while they play the same level 100,000 times to shave of an eighth of a second.
>>219116254This is funny, but take away any major part of what the actors are acting around and it will look bad. Taking away audience laughter that actors are acting around is literally like removing one of the actors and pointing out how weird everything is with the actors acting like someone else is there.
>>219117539Heh I guess only a real nerd would get that joke
>>219116386This just reminds me of how much I hate ross and how unwatchable he makes the show.
>>219115205This scene always bothered me because they got Mario's jump timing wrong
Bazinga
>>219115205i remember an episode where sheldon had trouble deciding between the ps4 and the xbox one. as if sheldon wouldn't be a pc masterrace god. or that he'd ever pick the xbox one over the ps4.
If Sheldon is such a genius, why is he playing on a poorly coded emulator ?
@FBI@NintendoofAmerica@CIA@POTUSDO SOMETHING
>>219115771Spaced had an episode that featured Resident Evil 2 pretty prominently and had a Tekken gag in a different episode
You know, I think the early seasons (1-3) of Young Sheldon are really good, particularly seasons 2-3. 4 was obviously hurt by COVID, and 5-7 are very meanspirited. TBBT is brain cell killing slop, but it is similar in that the early seasons are better. I don't know why I am subjecting myself to it, but I think I might just be trying to punish myself.
>>219118222 Ross is the proto-Sheldon for people who think divorces are a personality trait. Every time he starts that whiny “we were on a break” cadence I can feel my lifespan decreasing. At least Sheldon is supposed to be insufferable. Ross is presented like he’s the normal one while actively being the most neurotic, jealous, onions-coded man on network TV. Friends is comfort slop but anytime an episode centers on Ross it turns into a PSA about why paleontology should’ve stayed extinct.
>>219116283>so literally every sitcomand literally every sitcom is complete garbage for that reason
Basically the only sitcom I'll watch. It's just comfy friends hanging out stuff. Way less relationship BS or artificial drama. Low stakes easygoing chill show that reminded me of hanging out with friends back when I used to do that.
>>219115713Two and a Half Men should've lasted two seasons tops.
>>219115464The show doesn't depict nerd culture at all, the protagonists are either highly educated professionals or hot chicks rather than mentally ill loner freaks whose only substance in life is an obsessive engagement with media
>>219115205It was redditor - the show. All the normies who saw it instantly assumed that anyone who was a bit of a "nerd" behaved like a consumerist soiboi.Oh, you like computers? You must have a room full of action figures and comic books too!
>>219123139I've unironically been watching New Girl for this reason
>>219124204>>219124011You're just mad TBBT reminded you that you're not an actual nerd. Nerds hold respectable positions in society with friends, good jobs, social hobbies, gfs/wives etc. Whereas you're just an outcast who erroneously identified with being a nerd because you (also erroneously) believe you're intelligent.
>>219124270Isn't that basically another flavor of TBBT?
>>219124428you're making assumptions
>>219124428Being a nerd has never been related to intelligence, just to a lack of athleticism. One of Hollywood's biggest lies is that jocks are dumb and people who are wimpy and bad at sports are intelligent, and this all boils down to the neurotic Jewish types who run Hollywood having never been physically fit so they cope by inventing this alternate reality where they dominate intellectually instead. Of course, being low-IQ genetic trash, they can't represent actual intelligence very well, so they give their self-insert characters the one field of expertise they DO understand themselves: popculture and media.
>>219116021Yeah the flanderization was pretty brutal and though it is all things considered a fairly minor thing I especially disliked the bit about him having to have sarcasm explained to him at any given when he was plenty sardonic and snarky himself in the first seasonI guess between the two though it was better that the flanderization went that direction rather than turning him into yet another Dr cox dick
>>219117086Bernadette is by far the worst and most despicable character along with the jetsAmy i can take or leave though she very much highjacked the show for herself in a matter of a couple seasons
>>219117909>Autistic zoomiesSpeed runs are very much autistic millennials' field, a good chunk of whom also happen to be transexual for some reason Zoomers are a big audience for it still
