Coppola’s movie added a major plot point of Dracula becoming undead because his wife or whatever died and then finding her reincarnated in the 1800s. Besson’s movie ripped that off wholesale and tried to say he’s the first person to adapt that plot from the book. You stupid cunts. Dan Curtis' Dracula was the first movie to introduce the Count as a tragic romantic hero who lost his wife and sees her resemblance in Mina/Lucy. It was also the first movie to use the connection of Vlad Tepes as Dracula's real persona before he became a vampire. In addition to those this was also titled in the opening credits "Bram Stoker's Dracula".
