what the fuck did i just watch
>>219131720best Hollywood movie of 2025
>>219131720that poster looks like ai slop
>>219131747just like the movie then
>>219131747What, you don’t want your movie posters to have Emma Stone on them three times?
>>219131720The best kino ignored by the Oscars.
>>219131720A schadenfreude masturbatory exposition centered around the director's hate for people that wouldn't take the vax.
>>219131734So a bad movie?
>>219131734the fact that it won zero oscar nominations is proof that hollywood doesn't know what its talking about or is so scared of their side being depicted as anything but the ultra-righteous good guys
>>219131800Filtered retard
>>219131808why? because they had bad ass antifa supersoldiers who win in the end? you have zero media literacy
>>219131821what part of that is untrue?
>>219131840They weren't antifa, you retard. This is probably why the movie got snubbed. OBAA was good but Eddington just felt like much better film. Honestly Aster's best film and such a surprise after the hit and miss elements of Beau.
>>219132021>They weren't antifa, you retard.they literally were the harangued boogeymen the MSM kept screeching about all summer long. it was not even remotely ambiguous.
>>219131720the one film of 2025 that will stand the test of time
>>219131821Incorrect use of the word
>>219131720 You Aesian
There zero point to having Emma Stone and Austin Butler in this movie. They didn't do shit
>>219132325what about the cuck narrative
>>219132325Ari Aster is clearly backed by someone willing to throw their money away to try to make him into a thing.
>>219131720why is Emma there three times ? Also they spelled Joaquins name wrong and he and Pablo don't have last names
>>219131840>who win in the enddid you even watch the movie retard? they all get killed, and the conservative boy who kills the last one ends up having the happiest ending. HE was the badass, not the over equipped private jet flying antifa. but yes, that group, which were obviously bad guys and lost, made hollywood angry because they only want to be shown as peaceful good guys with the moral high ground.
>>219131720A potentially devastating attack on AI technocrats, ruined by Aster falling back on his tired jewish misery porn.
>>219133257>he still thinks they were antifaoh, my sweet summer chud.
>>219132325You are an absolute retard - and I genuinely mean it - if you don't understand why they're in the movie.
>>219131800It's a based centrist film that filtered retarded ideologues.
>>219133257did you miss the part where the powers behind antifa turned joaquin into a puppet for their goals?
>>219134073yes, antifa is backed by the koch brothers and various other billionaires/corporations.
>>219133257>they all get killedliterally one got shot
>>219131720>what the fuck did i just watchabsolute kino with a secret meaning
I'm totally watching this, it has my favorite actor Joagin
>>219131720"your anger is their agenda"
That flick already feels outdated. Antifa is irrelevant nowadays, the rise of anti-democratic far right spreading misinfo all over the social media is what's happening currently.
>>219137692>movie specifically about 2020 feels outdatedholy shit you're a fucking genius
the movie, just, presumes too much.
>>219131720>what the fuck did i just watchHow the fuck would I know what you just watched?
>HES NOT WEARING A MASK!!!!
>>219131720the ending genuinely gave me nightmares bro, this is highkey the worst possible fate for someone like just pull the plug bro
>>219132021https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7tyhIDKppAWho were they supposed to be?
>>219137692the only "problem" of real-world significance in the film is the data center. they even let emma stone's conspiratard mother ramble at the opening ceremony because they don't care what we do or think as long as it doesn't threaten their techno-fascist future.
>>219138141he wanted to be mayor, now he's mayor.
>>219138172Elons goons
>>219138179yeah, the rich literally owning politicians and then staging riots when an election doesn't go their way isn't a big issue.
>>219131808>>219131840You should be training for the draft instead of pretending there was ever a fight you could win
>>219131720its a deep cut on parapolitic nutters
>>219138254it is thankfully not a big issue
>>219138179the problem is that evil tech CEOs are using algorithms to brainwash you so you do what they want.
why is it always these good but not great movies that gain some type of cult following of people that try to convince everyone that they're gonna watch a masterpiece
>>219139338its you not having a high iq
>>219132021they literally have antifascist action and "FCK NZIS" patches
>>219131720A boring forgettable movie
>>219140944hello starwarstheory
>>219132325>why is the main motivation that drives the main character to commit murders in the second half of the movie present in the story?>could it have been an email lol?And you wonder why Hollywood treats you like dumb fucking cattle.
kino
>>219131720The least anticipated direction for the movie to go. Although I should've expected this from Aster. It's the repeat of Hereditary, where he dangled some stupid "it's actually mental issues" only to rug-pull into demons being real, jokes on you.Still need to see Beau Is Afraid. Aster continues to be my favorite A24 jew.
I fucking love this movie. It will be watched in 20 years.
>>219131720The hat budget on this movie must have cost at least as much as the payroll for three Emmas.
CAUSE BABY YOU'RE A FIREWORK
>>219131720Joagin's best movie ever.
>>219133257>the data center gets built and openeddid YOU watch the movie?
It looks like crap made by Sherydan.
>>219131747Well I think it's real
>>219131734Of the decade
>>219145108nah you got filtered wingnut
>>219132111As superior to One Battle After Another as Cronenberg's Crash was to the Oscar winning tripe Crash
>>219131928the fact that the vaxxers were the biggest dicks in the film
>>219140803Excellent bait.
>>219132021>Honestly Aster's best film and such a surprise after the hit and miss elements of Beau.Accurate. He went from meme to favorite in my book with Eddington.
>>219132325They're both victims of the pedo elite. That's why they're in the movie.
>>219140944definitely not forgettable or boring, its gonna remain the strongest covid move forever more than likely
>>219141421>Still need to see Beau Is AfraidYou should. It's flawed but a good watch.
>>219131720>joagin >pedrolel
>>219142765and people try to say this is apro lib film because Joaquin shoots and frames a few as if his actions represent all chuds
>>219136812> with a secret meaning> a secret meaning> a> secret> meaninglmao, you'd have to be retarded
>>219131720I have no idea, you tell me.
>>219141421>Still need to see Beau Is Afraid.don't bother anon, it's trash
>>219145920bruh the woman's father molested her.
>>219132325theyre the lead motivation for sheriffs descent
>>219143172Sheridan wrote Hell or High Water and thats all that matters, best western in 15 years
>>219146180the first half is schizo kino and great black comedy, the chick drinking paint was a total whiplash
truly a solidgoldmagikarproduction
>>219134173>Film that presents the liberal worldview as normal is centristI'm tired of this astroturfed narrative
>>219132021>Honestly Aster's best film and such a surprise after the hit and miss elements of BeauBeau was such a bad movie that I honestly thought Aster was a one trick pony and would continue to make “elevated” horror movies for the rest of his career and this movie made me do a 180 turnaround on him and realize he might be one of the better directors of this generation if he actually decides to step out of his horror comfort zone. It was nothing like I’d assumed it was going to be and he actually made a compelling and brutally honest movie about a situation that both the left/right were fighting over. Never expected a movie like this out of him and it’s really making me look forward to what he has in store next in a way that Midsommer/Beau just made me roll my eyes the entire way through.
>The old idea of democracy, which is that it would be a countervailing force against power run amok, is gone completely. COVID cut the last link.
>>219132325Beyond the plot points it showed that Joaquin could still only care about his own need to be "the guy" even when faced with the pain and grief of his wife. His self centric attitude is not just expressed on the townspeople randos but also on the most intimate corner of his life
