This movie was inspired by a recent supergirl comic by a man named Tom King which I did not care for.
Basically he's one of the main writers in superhero comics right now, but it is my opinion and the opinion of others that he suffers massively in comparison to his predecessors.

But he does have his fans, and I won't claim that I think he's entirely a hack.
