I've been rewatching rick and morty episodes in random order.All I can think about is the "You need to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty", because it has some truth to it.There are so many jokes that take a 3rd and 4th rewatch to finally "get", and I don't just mean at the surface-level. There are actually implications that give the characters such nuanced depth... I have to assume the writers intended to let the jokes ruminate amongst audiences. Also, a lot of the later episodes are made much more interesting by realizing how much the writers depended on elements from past episodes (elements such as dialogue, sets, and characters). This isn't a copypasta, I genuinely think Rick and Morty has great, overlooked writing.
