My therapist revealed to me that i have cptsd, explaining why my life has been so shit and nightmarish. Before we started treatment they suddenly took sick leave for 2 months. This has been the worst 2 months of my life, im no longer eating anything and feel like im going completely insane. I wake every morning and immediately start panicking about how lonely i am

>>219166124Same, from going through a very abusive childhood/teens at the hands of an untreated BPD stepmother, and it basically consumed my 20s and 30s. I can’t say specifically what got me out of it, but I started feeling like a more functioning human being a few years back when I got on SSRI’s to “take the edge off” (Zoloft worked best for me, and I’ve since stopped), adopted two of the sweetest cats that I’ve ever encountered from a rescue, started a long-term hobby/project that could eventually make me money, and I tried psilocybin mushrooms (not recommended for everyone, but did wonders for me).I can only speak from personal experience, but finding purpose where there seemingly is none is probably the most effective solution. That obviously varies from person-to-person, and it would fall upon you to find said “purpose”, but that’s the best advice that I can give. Meditation and therapy are obviously important tools in the recovery process, but shouldn’t be the only items in your arsenal.
