Gen Z with a mini
>>219203707Gen Z doesn't watch sitcoms. It's an outdated format. Gen Z watches IShowSpeed, Clavicular, and Nick Fuentes.
>>219203707Instagram reels
SpongeBob SquarePants (2025)
>>219203707Why are they called sitcoms anyway? Any comedy requires a 'situation' for context regardless if it's a sketch or comedy drama or whatever else.
>>219203802
>>219203707Gen Z's humor regressed to 1920s clown funny faces and slapstick skits that are only 30 seconds long. Sitcoms require a plot and talking for at least 20 minutes. This overloads their broccoli brains.
>>219203707The watch TikToks and interactions between their favourite internet talking heads
>>219203773gen z pushing 30, Clavicular, speed, Nick is for Gen A
>>219203707Capitalist mandated stagnation. You WILL consume recycled, revived, zombified reboots of 20th century television. You will NOT develop, you WILL recede into the past and crawl and curl into a comfortable and still lifelessness.
>>219203707i think they just read the news
>>219203707nobody watches TV anymore

>>219203707Abbott elementary is the definitive broccoli head sitcom
>>219203851Gen Z, a fucking waste of a generation.
>>219204034It's kinda in-between I guess? Late millennial/ Early zoomer?
>>219204058Community was never explicitly for teens. 18-35 year olds
>>219204058Interesting to me that you type with inflections at the end of your sentences? Valley-girl coded zoomerbrain?
>>219204058It's turbo millennial, man. Think zoomers get 80's references?
>>219204111>>219204121It was popular on early tumblr.
Gen Z can't sit and watch an entire episode
>>219203707Sitcoms used to be based around the syndication model where networks would pump out 24 episodes using stock actors and sets. And then sell those episodes again and again to smaller networks all over the world. Instead of selling the syndication rights once, they would renew the contracts every few years. Meaning networks would spend millions making TV shows, but those shows would net them billions in syndication over the years. You can’t do that with streaming for a multitude of reasons.
>>219204251Ehh, there's still a way to make it work in the streaming era, the issue is more than all the people working in streaming bought into the "prestige TV" bullshit and turn their nose up when asked to make episodic shows on a tight budget. If you look back at shows like Star Trek or whatever, most of their episodes use the same handful of sets and some subset of the regular cast paired with a cheap character actor or two as guest stars. Sitcoms largely took place on two or three unchanging sets and maybe one extra soundstage they could "dress" as somewhere else for the handful of occasions they actually wanted a character to physically be somewhere else rather than just talk about having been there to make a joke. You could still make a 16-20 episode annual show on the cheap like that today for six or seven years running and be spending the same amount of money they happily piss away on some hyper-serialised 6-10 episode pretentious trash that only gets three seasons in the same time and there's clearly still an appetite for those kinds of shows with the audience, so for the streaming service at worst it would be a wash financially. They don't make them because the writers, the showrunners, the EPs and especially the actors think they're above "lowbrow stuff" like sitcoms. And most of them - once again especially the actors - are lazy fucks who don't want to commit to working for that long. They want to come in, knock out their actual gainful employment in a couple of months like they do with movies, and then fuck off back to partying or making pretentious arthouse shite that nobody wants to watch.

gen z's sitcom is livestreamers like clavicular or neon or whatever
>>219203707Their lives are the comedy.
>>219203726This and the Dan Schneider shows are basically what are sitcoms were. Yes they count even if they're for kids.
>>219203707Fine Bros react
Sitcoms suck
>>219204671I love pretentious arthouse shite that nobody wants to watch
>>219203826Here comes the retarded, self-important millennial who thinks he's so great because he likes gay shit for women like Friends.
>>219204251>networks would spend millions making TV showsBut now they spend way more on shows, not less. That's one of the reasons new shows have at most ten episodes a season instead of 24.
>>219203773Kill all eceleb fags
>>219206371>t. Seinfeldtard
>>219207502Yes, I do look Seinfeld and I am Gen Z. People who take pride in being Millennials usually do like some gay shit like Friends or something.
>>219203707Considering the slop millennials had for sitcoms, zoomers aren't missing much. Sitcoms peaked in the 90s.
>>219203707Streamers
>>219207807>I do look Seinfeld and I am Gen Zyou must be sooooo specialshut the fuck up faggot
>>219208023Never said I was, nigger. I just hate smug millennials who haven't done anything important enough to earn being smug.
>>219203707This is just a bullshit comment, Gen Z never even had sitcoms, they died along with laughtracks.
>>21920838570% of shows on Disney and Nickelodeon were sitcoms in 2002-201X. It's far more common than you think, but I don't think it translates into those people liking sitcoms when they're older, unfortunately.
>>219203707Kai Cenat
>>219207807>>219208168Stfu bitch ass broccoli head
>>219203707Hard to write a modern comedy when almost everything you could show is going to make someone scream and shit their pants for being "problematic"
>>219203707Hard to say now that comedy´s been banned and all suits can think about is remakes and sequels... maybe they don´t need one since we live in a clown world anyways.
>>219203851Some Zers already are 30.
>>219203707Gen Z has friends. They just watch old shit. It's so popular again that there was an ad campaign with McDonald's
>>219209066Millennials mean gen alpha when they talk about zoomers most of the time
