Digital filming should be a crime

I loved the episode where troy accidentally drove into a pride parade

>It's a Barnaby breathes heavy and recounts the killings while stopping the murderer in the nick of time episode
>>

My dad loves this show ever since he randomly developed an intense interest in it a few years ago, which is funny because he's normally a very gruff, old-school, working-class man's man type guy but he just loves this show and occasionally when I visit he'll recount one of the whacky storylines in it to me. Very funny and wholesome.
>>
Tom Barnaby>John Barnaby. He was the heart and soul of the series.

I loved the episode where a tiny hamlet has the murder rate of Tijuana

Boomers watch this kind of shit to help them pretend they didn't spend decades voting the third world into their country.

>In March 2011, series producer Brian True-May was suspended by All3Media after telling the TV listings magazine Radio Times that the programme did not have any non-white characters because the series was "the last bastion of Englishness and I want to keep it that way". When challenged about the term "Englishness" and whether that would exclude ethnic minorities, True-May responded: "Well, it should do, and maybe I'm not politically correct." He later went on to say that he wanted to make a programme "that appeals to a certain audience, which seems to succeed." True-May's comments were investigated by the production company. He was reinstated, having apologised "if his remarks gave unintended offence to any viewers", but subsequently stepped down as producer. ITV said it was "shocked and appalled" at True-May's comments, which were "absolutely not shared by anyone at ITV".

It's great noticing the shift in a tv show
There was another one called Vera that was reasonably good to start with, then had the Very Special Episode where those nasty right wingers started poisoning halal meat or something cause they hate pakis
>>
We definitely need more ITV shows of spinsters in small towns becoming amateur detectives and have a "tragic history"
>>

That's just an urban legend, they make so few episodes of Midsomer Murders per year that actually the murder rate is tied for 5th highest in the UK with Yorkshire, and has a lower murder rate than Manchester, London, Merseyside and the West Midlands.

And that was a few years ago, God knows what it's like with all the boat people here now.

Barnaby 2 has the misfortune of both following the face of the series for a decade and coming in at the time where the original guy got booted for saying he didn't want pakis in his show and the new woman didn't know why people liked the series.

They've actually got a play of Midsomer Murders on, it's based on the first book/episode, and Daniel Casey (Sergeant Troy) is playing Barnaby. I looked into seeing it but tickets were like £80.

I still think of neil dudgeon as the sleazy gardener from one of the earlier midsomer episodes
And as George in the Mrs Bradley Mysteries

I don't think there's a single actor in Ingerland who hasn't been in Midsomer at some point.

And he was completely fucking right, and every single person that likes the show believes this deep down, whether they say it or not.

My parents are from Hastings and they say it reminds them of a time where the one Indian guy in town was like an oddity.

Yeah
My family is not British but Australian and we face all the same cultural issues. And my dad, who is 60 now, says the same thing. He likes it because it reminds him of what Australia used to be like when he was younger.
These woke producers and PR people can get angry about that but it's just the plain truth and how a lot of people see things whether they like it or not. People like things that remind them of their youth and when things seemed better in life, and often thast is before the hyper-globalism we have now that has destroyed every local, traditional culture and community in its path.
