>"You complain about a life that YOU chose. You are not a victim. Not at all. Your generosity conceals something dirtier and meaner. You're incapable of facing your ambitions and you resent me for it, but I'm not the one who put you where you are. I had nothing to do with it! You're not sacrificing yourself as you say. You choose to sit on the sidelines because you're afraid! Your pride makes your head explode before you can even come up with a germ of an idea! You wake up at 40 needing someone to blame. You're the one to blame! You're petrified by your own fucking standards and your fear of failure! This is the truth!"
>>219205489Movies about writers are always guaranteed to have insufferable over-written dialogue like this.
>insufferable over-written dialogue Is /tv/ really that retarded that it can't realize good writing anymore?
its not sitting on the sidelines if the thing you are doing requires my full commitment.
>>219205906Amerimutt zoomers can't comprehend anything but Xitterspeak
i like the part where she 100% did it.
>>219205489Imagine the dialogue between these two lol
>>219206966It do be like that
>>219205906No one would say all this off the cuff. This reads like a rehearsed monologue because that’s what it is.
>>219205489Weird movie. If the faggot dad killed himself why aren't they all more upset about that, instead of trying to "solve" the case and absolve themselves? She acts guilty for no reason.
>>219211767Lol what? Of course people do
>>219214827No one would say something that well thought out and eloquent in the heat of the moment during a spousal fight. It’s way too scripted sounding.
she killed him for sure, there is not a single person on the planet who would kill himself while listening to 50 cent's P.I.M.P
It wasn't terrible especially considering it was written and directed by a woman. A bit long winded though and certainly overrated. It's about as good as an average british crime TV show (not a really good one) except stretched out too long.
>>219215658Show us your movie then
>>219214865You haven't seen the film. Or perhaps you've had which would make your opinion even more embarrassing.
>>219205489Still not reason enough to kill him
>>219205489>>219205601>>219211767>>219214865>>219215658I thought it was pretty good!
>>219216754I understand that the OP dialogue is translated from French, but that makes no difference.

>>219216928Makes no difference. The argument slowly builds up, she doesn't blurp it out in some quick shouting match. She is also talking to her husband, obviously she's thought about and has an opinion on the matter, she doesn't come up with it on the spot. And she's a writer. She knows how to express herself. And even than, there is nothing particularly smart either on the observation or on the way it's expressed.
