I wanted to hate it, but it's actually great. Feels just like the og nbc show and completely ignores the abc trash.
>>
>>219206071
im the opposite. im a huge fan of the original. i tried to like this one but its bad.
>>
>>219206071
it's blurry
>>
>>219206071
I wanted to like it but its unfunny trash
>>
Is it any good? I didn't know the new season was out.
>>
>>219206071
I really like it.
>>
>>219206464
It's exactly the same, for good or ill. No janitor or Kelso, though.
>>
>>219206365
It's way better than the stupid ass intern seasons, not as good as the earlier seasons but it was never going to be. There isn't one character I outright hate unlike most new seasons
>>
>>219206071
I watched the entire og show in preparation for this one to come out.
Then the first episode
>undoes JD's happy ending with Elliot
>speedruns JD becoming CoM
>Has one scene with Carla
>Makes post #metoo nod with the Todd having to say "with consent" like that was ever an issue
>Introduces annoying HR bitch, but excuses her character by calling her out as "feelings police" so it's okay because "we totally hate it too, guys"
>Has doctor who wanted to work with Turk just because black
>Introduces insufferable pansexual rival character
Literally just drop the, "Hey, it's modern times!" angle and this shit would've been good. We didn't need to be beaten over the head about how everything is about race, sexuality, and modern identity politics. We fucking know by now.
>>
>>219206495
>No janitor
The final episode will have a surgical team struggling to seperate conjoined twins.
In walks Dr Jan Itor after the surgery he says he's just a man with a saw. He clearly wanted to be a doc hence he pretended, it would be character growth if he actually retrained later, especially given the timeskip.

>Makes post #metoo nod with the Todd having to say "with consent" like that was ever an issue
im not feeling the revival and dropped it at episode 5 but i thought that line was funny. it is possible however that im just happy to see the Todd again
>>
It's surprisingly comfy. It feels like Scrubs, just with everyone older. Thing is, Scrubs was never amazing. It was always just good. It gets overrated because the ending was an unbelievable 10/10 knock out of the park.
But yeah, new Scrubs is alright
>>
>>219206566
Just wait until the MITM season drops. Apparently there will be a non-binary sibling. I have no doubt they will make Reese or Dewi gay.
>>
>>219206637
That final montage at the end with Book of Love playing is one of the greatest sitcom endings of all time, if not the best one ever.
>>
>>219206566
What's wrong with a black intern wanting to work with a black doctor
Especially when he doesn't treat her any different and even addresses that
>>

>It gets overrated because the ending was an unbelievable 10/10 knock out of the park.
And now they undid it. Season 9 was bad sure, but now they brole up JD and Elliot for drama, totally shitting on the entire ending. Also shitting on the part about how it was safe, warm and comfy but JD had to move on.

My favourite episode of Scrubs was My Big Brother, it tackled Dan being afraid to take risks and suffering for it, while showing the importance of hanging onto your inner kid to not go insane with life. New season just isn't really doing it for me thematically.
>>
>>219206780
nta but i am a black man and i find it retarded too. social media pushes le representation and the myth of "i didnt feel comfortable doing x until i saw someone who looks like me/of my skin color do it first" which idk maybe its because im 30 but ive never thought like that and imo thats a retarded way to think.
>>
>>219206071
It’s good. But the OG was GREAT.
You better spend your time rewatching the originals.
>>
>>219206780
>What's wrong with a black intern wanting to work with a black doctor
What's wrong with a white intern wanting to work with a white doctor
>>
>>219206071
Do the new interns get better character wise? The plots with the original gang were fine but the new crew was worse than even season 9.
>>
>>219206821
>maybe its because im 30 but ive never thought like that and imo thats a retarded way to think.
Grifters and parasites can use it to claw their way up. They don't actually beleive that shit, they just say you should promote them over X because they can be a role model or some shit, and you need to hire more people who look like them. It's sorta like how younger women say they can do what they want and you can't stop them, but then when she's older and ayounger woman is competing for men, then the younger woman is no longer a free agent but a victim who can't make her own choices. Or reversely how the manosphere guys say men shouldn't date women anymore and should make money, then they imply that women should now date them because young guys aren't dating them.
It's all about competition and manipulation where people who can't compete honestly have to do slimy shit like that.

I'm finishing up s8 right now in my rewatch and I'll say s10 is funnier than s7 and s8, but it's not a whole lot better, it is the low-end of scrubs. But I think you picking out the race\sexuality stuff is more on you than the show, because that stuff was incredibly prominent in the original's first 4 seasons.

>>219206623
He has a funny bit in the credits of one of the episodes, where he says he's looking for the "real thing" and then does a Todd-ism at a random bar lady.

>>219206884
Not enough.
>>
>>219207387
>picking out the race\sexuality stuff is more on you than the show, because that stuff was incredibly prominent in the original's first 4 seasons.
The difference is that stuff was played as a joke and handle lightheartedly. This was meant to be taken seriously and at face value.
>>
>>219207426
Is it supposed to be taken at face value? The Todd's consent-five is clearly a joke, and the HR lady being a gambler, drinker, cocaine snorter, and general bitch is clearly a joke. She's the most unsuited for her job out of any of the cast. Then when you get to the blackintern\turk race stuff that's pretty much the same as in 'My Fifteen Minutes', which is all the way back in season 1.

I wont argue with you if you disagree, but I don't see the difference. Sure times are different and the kind of jokes they're making are different, that the PC police is about is a part of the serious part of the show, but I don't see how that isn't the same as the sexual harassment episode from season 3. I'll take "we can't make those kinds of comments anymore" over shit like the episode where the new lady surgeon calls Turk "the worst kind of sexist" because he wants the other surgeons to not harass her. Just saying PC-shit has been around forever at varying levels of annoying, that's a lot of what The Todd jokes are.
>>
The intern doctor that is addicted to tiktok/insta is uncomfortably attractive.
>>
>>219208489
get better standards anon jeez
>>
>>219207941
You make some good points, anon. Maybe I'm more sensitive to it because it's been so overwhelmingly and often really poorly handled in recent times that I compare every example that appears to the worst stuff I've seen lately. Your examples from the og did always rub me the wrong way, but not as much as the stuff from the new season, so maybe that'son me for having my nostalgia goggles on. Maybe I'll give it another chance. Convincing argument, anon, bravo.
>>
>>219207941
Counterargument, anon, in the original show, these moments are spread out, sprinkled in, and earned by character development. In the new show, literally all the examples were in the very first episode and pretty unearned or built up. They just... happen.

I would definitely Tosh her
>>
>>219208792
Yeah but that’s because American television has now become like British television where a season is only eight episodes instead of 22-24.

Grim.

>oct 15, 2026
Shit, this show's set in the future?
>>
>>219208623
Personally I'd blame that the social progressivism movement got hijacked by the most annoying cunts in the world. It's like with vegetarians. No one gives a shit if you don't eat meat, but constantly nagging others about it and making a big deal about it is incredibly annoying. No one likes being preached at. I think it's easy to be sensitive to it now because when it is pushed it is so fucking annoying, and in turn one of the reasons Scrubs caught on with me is because they could make a joke about being black or gay without it being a huge deal.
>JD: You hear that, everybody? I do have it rough, and that's coming from a man who knows a teensy bit about adversity. And why is that, Turk?
>Turk: Because I'm black.
>JD: No, because you have diabetes. What's hard about being black?
Funny
>Dr. Miller: You know what's worse than the basic knuckle-dragging scalpel jocks I usually work with? You. You are the worst kind of sexist. You're one of the sneaky ones who prides himself on saying all the right things when, deep down, what you really think is that I'm just a little girl who needs protecting. Now I would appreciate it if you would apologize.
Preachy

>>219208792
From a storytelling perspective putting it in the first episode is probably the right choice, but yeah, if every episode subsequently were just "PC culture is CRAZY!" it'd be insufferable. I think they moved on from it, but I can see why someone would get some bad fucking vibes since it's in episode 1. But I think it's a case of 'damned if you do damned if you don't'.
>>
>>219209320
Anon, you're a rare good egg on this piece of shit board.
