This is the first Star Wars movie to drop in almost 7 years. It comes out next month. Is it me or does it feel like there's not much excitement. I barely see anyone talking about it.

>>219209820Same, and with the "baby yoda" recognition among the general population, the throwback styling of the poster and marketing materials, and general optimism of the buzz around it being the only really positive thing SW has shat out, it could be a turnaround for the brand IF they went heavy on the marketing. But they haven't. So it will likely just do OK and then fade away.

I fucked off after Book of Boba Fett destroyed the direction of the “Mandoverse”, and Kenobi somehow managed to make the PT and OT worse just by existing. I haven’t watched anything Star Wars related since, and from everything I hear I haven’t missed much. From what I hear, while Andor is well-made, it’s boring as fuck and doesn’t feel like Star Wars outside some window dressing.

Don't forget that we'll get a 6-7 movie some time in a few years after it's long gone from pop culture. Heck, the FNAF movie could have made three times as much if they'd made it fast and released it in 2017/18.
